Hair - Liz Taw
Liz Taw was collecting hair for a sculpture from a local salon in Sydney, Australia, when she realised she wanted to sculpt hairstyles rather than artwork. The then art student was struck by the parallels between the two disciplines and began a hair styling apprenticeship.
Her commitment to creating natural, effortless hairstyles that fall well without the need to use a brush comes from a life-changing haircut at that same salon, which changed the way she thought about her natural curls.
She moved to London in 2001, working first at the Aveda salon and then as a freelance hair stylist.
Liz’s work has appeared in Sunday Times Style, Wonderland and The Ingenue. She has worked with talent including, Florence Welch, Jessie Ware, Ellie Goulding, Jack O'Connell and Jake Bugg.
